"Young people should be given the opportunity to develop their talents and find one's place"
Héritier is a young artist. He brought his aunt, Sinorina, with him. The beautiful bond between the two is immediately palpable. Family is very important to them. "We have a special bond because we grew up together." Sinorina and Héritier's family deliberately chose to give them a Dutch-language education. That opened doors for the two and helped them develop their talents. "For me, the first year in Dutch-speaking education was also difficult, but I didn't want to give up and wanted to find my place in it."
It is a quest for everyone to find their own place and be able to develop their talents. An uneven starting position can complicate that search. But Brussels also offers you self-confidence and the beauty of diversity. "The city accepts you. Without judgement."
